Found Dead in Field

Arthur Sherwood was found dead in the field  on Thursday by Mr. Wm. McCoy of Windham, for whom he was working. He had not been feeling well for two or three days and Coroner Dr. Teeter pronounced death due to the extreme heat.

Deceased was a native of Australia and served three years during the war with the Australian Imperial Light Horse. He was engaged to an English girl and plans were made for her to come here to be married. There is no record here of his relatives in Australia.

The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from Mr. F. G. Wilcox's undertaking parlors and was in charge of the members of the Great War Veterans Association. Interment took place in Greenwood Cemetery.
