Sad Death of Mrs. W. L. Saunders

The sympathy of a very wide circle of friends goes out to Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Gibson, in the death of their last remaining child, Angie, wife of Mr. Walter Saunders of Edmonton.

From childhood, Mrs. Saunders had been troubled with peculiar and severe attacks of acute indigestion and in August last an operation was deemed necessary. Tho it was considered a most serious one, the patient rallied and improved till a weekk or more ago, when she was taken worse and passed away in the Edmonton Hospital on Friday last.

The remains were brought to Waterford on Tuesday and the funeral will be held this afternoon at 2.30 at the home of her parents. The interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery beside her sister Josie who so tragically met death some years ago.

Angie, as she was affectionately known by her friends came to Waterford from Ayr when just a small child and grew to womanhood beloved by all for her sunny disposition and generous nature. At an early age she united with the Baptist Church where she was an active worker in the Sunday School, B.Y.P.U., and choir.

She was married to Mr. Saunders during the dark days of the war, just before he left for the front where he saw many months of active service. At the close of the war, Mr. and Mrs. Saunders went west where they have resided most of the time since.

Her death at the early age of 25 years seems particularly sad and brings a sense of personal loss to her many friends, young and old.
