Mrs. Murdoch left town on Wednesday, accompanied by Mr. Grover Murdoch of Simcoe, for Dayton, Ohio, to attend the 91st birthday celebration of her sister,
Mrs. Dr. J. C. Elliott, to be held on Friday, 21 Jan 1921.

Mrs. Elliott and her late husband saw active service during the Civil War in the 1860s. Dr. Elliott was a prisoner in "Libby" for six weeks, being released by the exchange of 40 surgeons.
