Lewis-Miles

A pretty wedding took place at the Baptist Parsonage, Hamilton, 8 Jun 1921, Rev. McMaster officiating, when Miss Nellie Hazel, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Miles of Waterford, became the bride of Mr. C. Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Lewis of Hamilton.

The bride wore a dress of sand color Crepe de Chene embroidered in the popular  blue bird design with large picture had to match and carried a shower bouquet of Ophella roses, while Miss Elsie Lewis, sister of the groom, made a charming bridesmaid gowned in shell pink silk with hat to match and carried a bouquet of pink roses.
Mr. Sidney de Breast assisted the groom as best man.

Following the ceremony a reception was held and wedding breakfast served at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Harry McMichael. The dinning room and table were beautifully decorated  by Brown and Son, decorators, with white carnations, smilax and fern. The customary orange blossoms were also used to table decorations together with white ribbon intermingled with cupids forming the procession on which the huge wedding cake rested. After hearty congratulations and best wishes, the happy couple left amid showers of confetti for a three week honeymoon trip to Crystal Beach and points east. On their return they will reside in Hamilton.

Waterford friends join in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Lewis God's speed in their new life.
