DOUBLE WEDDING

A double wedding took place Wednesday,
15 Sep 1920, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McIntyre of Kelvin, when their daughter Aletha was united in marriage to William Blay of Toronto. Daniel McIntyre, brother of the bride, acted as groomsman, and Miss Irene [Beckham] acted as bridesmaid.

At the same time, Mr. McIntyre's third daughter, Edna, was united in marriage to Stanley Almas of Kelvin. Elmer Almas, brother of the groom, acted as groomsman, and Miss Clara Almas, cousin, acted as bridesmaid.

The brides looked charming in blue silk and carried pink and white carnations and the bridesmaids wore green silk poplin. Rev. B. Stevenson performed the ceremony in the presence of about 50 invited guests.

A dainty dinner was served and after hearty congratulations the two happy couples left for points east, the brides travelling in navy blue serge suits with hats to match. They received many beautiful and costly presents.

After their return, Mr. and Mrs. Blay will reside in Toronto, where Mr. Blay is engaged in tailoring, and Mr. and Mrs. Almas will reside on his farm west of Kelvin.
