St. Williams.

There passed away on Saturday last one of our most respected residents, in the person of Mrs. W. F. McCall.

She was taken ill the Saturday before and was thus only ill one week. She was attended by Dr. McInnes of Vittoria, and Dr. McKinnon of this place.

She was laid to rest in Newkirk cemetery.

She is survived by her husband and two children who have the sympathy of the whole community.

The late Mrs. W. F. McCall

Mrs. Walter F. McCall died at her home in St. Williams on Saturday morning after an illness which lasted little more than a week. An attack of peritonitis, which did not seem to be very severe at first, became alarming on Friday, and the end came at 4 o'clock on Saturday morning.

She was buried on Monday in Newkirk cemetery, and an immense number followed her remains to their last resting place.

Still it is hard to realize that she has gone. The people are amazed and so bewildered that they cannot grasp the idea of finality in their parting. She was in her thirty-seventh year, lively, companionable, full of kindliness towards all the people, zealous for her church, and a willing helper in every good work.

Her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Jolly, have received a severe shock, but her husband, Mr. W. F. McCall, and their two children, Kenneth and little Elsie, will feel the bereavement most.

The solemn funeral service was conducted by Rev. Horace E. Bray, rector of St. Williams church, of which she was a member.

No event occurred in recent years in this community which has affected the people more profoundly than this great sorrow, for all the people loved the cheerful young woman who has just been taken away.
