Died Suddenly

Another very unexpected death occurred her on Friday last when Mrs. John Maddiford died after an illness of only a day with heart failure. Two days previous she was downtown.

Mrs. Maddiford has always been a resident of Waterford and had a wide circle of friends who will join with the Star in extending sympathy to the bereaved family. She was a kind wife and devoted mother to her five sons and one daughter.

The funeral was held from her late residence on Monday, the service being conducted by Rev. H. Wilkins. Her five sons and son-in-law, Mr. Wm. Littlewood, acted as pall-bearers. Interment took place in Greenwood Cemetery.
