MACINNES-MELVILLE

At St. Williams Anglican Church the marriage was solemnized on 15 Sep 1920 of Ada Thompson Melville, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Melville of Edinburgh, Scotland, and Robert Andrew, youngest son of the late Dr. MacInnes and Mrs. MacInnes of Vittoria.

The church was beautifully decorated with gladioli, ferns, asters and flags. The ceremony was performed by Rev.
R. S. Mason of Toronto, brother-in-law of the groom.

The bride, who was given away by Dr. Andrew MacInnes, wore a gown of ivory crepe de chine and bridal veil with coronet of orange blossoms and white heather, and corsage bouquet of sweetheart roses, and carried a shower bouquet of white asters.

The bridesmaid was Miss Ella Melville of Toronto, who wore a French gown of orchid satin and net, and French hat, and carried a bouquet of asters. The groom was ably supported by Mr. L. A. Sovereign of Simcoe, while little Robbie Noll or Toronto acted as train bearer. Miss Bertha McCall, cousin of the groom, played the wedding march.

A reception at the home of Dr. Andrew MacInnes followed the ceremony, after which Mr. and Mrs. MacInnes left for Detroit, the latter wearing a suit of poudre blue tweed with hat to match.

The bride was the recipient of many handsome gifts.
On their return, Mr. and Mrs. MacInnes will reside at "Aberfoyle," St. Williams.
