Accidental Death

The inquest into the death of Albert Roy King of Townsend, conducted by Coroner Dr. Teeter, reeve of Waterford, was held last week.

Acting crown attorney Waters was present on behalf of the crown and Reeve J. W. Schuyler of Townsend, for which corporation deceased was working on Saturday, followed the procedure.

The verdict in substance stated that Albert Roy King died on Sunday, 30 Jan 1921 from injuries which fractured his skull when he was struck by falling gravel at a gravel pit, and that the accident was not due to any carelessness by which blame could attach to any person or corporation.

The coroner's jury consisted of the following: Lorne Henry, foreman, Alvin Myerscough, Wm. Myerscough, Joseph Swift, John Anderson, Albert Walton, Harry Martin.

An inspector from the department of mines followed the case closely.
