Death of R. C. Kemp

Mr. R. C. Kemp died at his home in this place on Tuesday morning last, after an illness of nearly a month with typhoid fever. He was born in North Grimsby township, for many years was a farmer in Townsend, and several years ago he moved to Waterford, where he lived retired.

He married Francis [sic] Collard, daughter of Squire Collard of South Grimsby. His widow, two sons, Robert of Niagara Falls and William of Townsend, and two brothers and five sisters survive.

Mr. Kemp was a past Noble Grand of Waterford Lodge, No. 235, I.O.O.F. and a member of the Rebekah Lodge.

The funeral this afternoon and will be private.

The funeral of the late Robert C. Kemp took place from his late residence, Main Street south, to Greenwood Cemetery, Thursday, 21 Jul 1921 at 2.30 p.m.

The ceremony was conducted by the Officers of Waterford Lodge, No. 235, I.O.O.F., of which the deceased was a Past Grand and for years an energetic and active member, assisted by Rev. J. B. Moore and Rev. H. Wilkins.

The pallbearers were all brother Oddfellows and a large number of the brethren turned out to pay their last sad office to the departed.
