A lightly edited page 4 article from the 5 May 1910 issue of the Waterford Star newspaper.
The same obituary in the Lynnville column on page 2 of the 5 May 1910 Simcoe Reformer, but is difficult to read.

Obituary.

It was with much surprise and sorrow that the people of this neighborhood, and in fact, for many miles around, heard of the death of Alice, beloved wife of Edward Blayney, which occurred on Monday, 25 Apr 1910, after only a few days' illness from meningitis.

The funeral, which took place from her late home to the Lynnville cemetery and thence to the Methodist church on Wednesday, was very largely attended by both friends and relatives. The services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. W. Shepperson, who spoke from Gen. 9, 14.

Of her immediate relatives there are left to mourn their loss her husband and three children: Audrey, Clara and Mildred; also four sisters: Mrs. Herbert Collver,
Mrs. Allan [sic] Chrysler, Mrs. Ed. Meredith and Miss Clara Kellum [sic].

Mrs. Blayney will be greatly missed in the church and Sunday School, of which she was a faithful member and regular attendant. We do not sorrow as those having no hope, for we feel assured that our dear sister has gone "To be with Christ, which is far better."
