A Birthday Party

A very pleasant birthday party was given Mr. George Hewitt of Vittoria on Tuesday, 22 Mar 1910, when friends from Weston, Simcoe and Port Ryerse gathered at his home to celebrate his 78th birthday and to wish him many happy returns of the day.

As we gathered round the table and sang God's Blessing, a shadow of sorrow came over us as we thought of the twin brother who had for so many years celebrated the same day and whom God had taken to be with Him. Letters of Greeting were received from members and friends of the family unable to be present.

The day was ideal and the sun shone brightly, giving everything the touch of spring. At the close of the day, when night drew nigh and we were forced to separate, all expressed hearty congratulations and hoped all would be spared to meet again on the same occasion next year,
