Died in
Detroit
Following five weeks
illness, death came to Mrs. Edwin C. Groom, nee Jane Corlis,
formerly of Villa Nova and Waterford, at Grace Hospital in Detroit,
in her 60th year. Three specialists were unable to make a diagnosis
and with the constant attention of three graduate nurses were unable
to effect a recovery.
Besides her husband, four
sons and one daughter mourn the loss of a faithful wife and devoted
mother: Ward E. of Mason City, Iowa; Claris, Mildred, George and
Birney of Detroit.
Services were held in
Detroit, followed by services in the Waterford Baptist Church on
Saturday by Rev. J. D. MacLachlan, assisted by Rev. J. B. Moore.
Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery.
