Items of Local Interest

The death occurred in Salt Lake City on 16 Feb 1910 of John R. Gordon, a resident of that city and a native of Norfolk County, his birth having taken place at Silver Hill on 15 Feb 1851.

For many years he was engaged in lumbering and had amassed a fortune. 

He lived in Marquette, Michigan, for a long period. 
He was Republican representative of that district in the state legislatures from 1899 to 1908, and did many things during his office to advance his district.

He is survived by his wife and two young daughters.
