A lightly edited partial transcription of the Simcoe column on  page 1 of the 21 Apr 1921 issue of the Waterford Star.

Simcoe

William DeCou of Woodhouse died at the home of his sister, Mrs. John L. Chadwick, on Thursday night, 14 Apr 1921, in his 73rd year. He had been in failing health for some time.

Deceased was a blacksmith by trade and spent most of his life in Simcoe. John R. DeCou of Townsend is a brother and Mrs. Wesley Lewis of Charlotteville, a sister.

One child, a daughter, lives in the West.
