Items of Local Interest

The jewelry store owned by C. K. Darling of Houston, Texas, was burglarized on Saturday night, 16 Jul 1910 by a number of small boys, and jewelry to the value of $600 was subtracted.

The small thieves entered the store through the transom at the front of the store. The loss was partly covered by burglary insurance. The foot-prints left by the boys in the dust of the counters told the story to the police.

Residents of Simcoe will identify C. K. Darling as Clarence Darling, formerly of this town.
