A lightly edited partial transcription of the Jericho column on page 11 of the 5 Aug 1920 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

The sad news reached here of the death of Jesse Calvert at Brandon, Manitoba.

The passing of Mr. Calvert was made particularly distressing by reason of the fact that Mrs. Calvert was in the East, attending the funeral of her brother at St. Thomas.

Mr. Calvert was in good health at the time of her departure for the east, and died before she could reach his bedside.

Frank Calvert left on Friday for Brandon to attend the funeral. Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
