Nober

On Tuesday last Mr. John Butcher Sr., was taken sick and continually grew worse until on Thursday evening he passed away. The funeral took place on Sunday from his late home here to Springvale church and from thence to Springvale Greenwood cemetery.

Mr. Butcher was in his 81st years of age and was one of the oldest settlers in this section of the country. He was an honest, upright man and was held very high in the esteem of this whole country by all who knew him.

He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn their loss, and they have the sincere sympathy of this whole community in their sad bereavement.

(Too late for last issue)
