Simcoe

Simcoe, 19 May -- Mrs. Christie, wife of J. D. Christie, principal of the Simcoe High School, died in Hamilton general hospital yesterday morning. Interment will take place at Grimsby on Friday. The school will be closed for the day and members of the staff will attend the funeral.
Mr. Christie, himself, has been unwell for some time and a substitute has been carrying on in his stead. The venerable principal has the general sympathy of the community in his days of affliction. 

Reginald Mawhinney of Delhi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mawhinney of Norwich, married Miss Gladys Butler, daughter of J. H. Butler of Simcoe, yesterday in Simcoe. They will reside in Delhi.

James Edgeworth has sold his West street residence to John Durham of Vanessa.
