A lightly edited transcript of a page 5 item in the 6 Jan 1921 issue of the Waterford Star

The mayoralty race in Simcoe was as about close as the contest for Reeve in this place. Major W. A. McIntosh 
was elected Mayor over B. B. Baillie by a majority of 11,
the figures being 403 to 392.

The council for 1821 [sic] was elected by acclamation:
Reeve: T. E. Langford
Deputy Reeve: A. Jacques
Water Commissioner: H. A. Carter.
Councillors: 
D. A. Austin
R. M. Hamilton 
A. C. Burt
R. Simpson
D. T. McCall
H. Fick.
