May 21. Born in Townsend, a son to Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Dean.

Born in Townsend, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gardner.

May 28. Born in Townsend, a son to Mr. and Mrs. Abram Woodley.

Salem Collver of Bloomsburg married Miss Susan Austin of Lynn Valley, 13 May 1885.

Jun 11. Mr. A. N. Duncombe has moved from Simcoe to St. Thomas.

On Friday afternoon the remains of Maria Buck of Caledonia were found in Robt. Collver's swamp on the 11th concession of Townsend. The woman had evidently been murdered in the fall and the body been there all winter.

June 25. Miss Eliza Pilbeam is visiting her parents.

Mr. E. H. Carpenter, public school teacher, will take a trip to England.
