Boston

A very pleasant event took place on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Woodley, Willow Grove Farm, it being the 27th anniversary of their wedding day.

Mr. and Mrs. Woodley, by their social manner, endeavored to make everyone present feel comfortable and as much at home as possible. After an exchange of Universal greeting had taken place, the company was invited to the dining room where a sumptuous repast was awaiting them.

After ample justice had been done here, Rev. S. G. Harris led in a few words of prayer, after which Mr. W. D. Cunningham was called to the chair.

Short speeches were made by Messrs. Alex. Nelles, John Olmstead, Ward Foster, A. H. VanLoon, M. Bonham, J. B. Johnson, D. Y. Tryller and a few others, all expressing themselves highly pleased in being present on such an occasion, and in a pleasant way referring to many amusing events of former years.

Mr. Woodley made a very neat little speech, speaking of the number of changes, which had taken place during the past 27 years. A great many near and dear friends had passed away and gone to their reward, there being only four present today out of a number of 110, 27 years ago.

After enjoying a very pleasant and social afternoon, the party was brought to a close by singing "God be with you till we meet again" and a farewell handshake.

Below is a list of the invited guests, a number not being present owning to sickness and the inclemency of the weather.
