Introduction | Source Documents | Other Sources | Photocopies | Back

A lightly edited partial transcription of the Items of local interest column on page 12 of the
23 Oct 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Mrs. Charles Witherspoon has been sadly bereaved of a sister and brother during the past two weeks.

Last week she was notified of the death of her brother, Henry R. Cook of Orange, N.J., after a few days' illness with pneumonia.

A few days previous she was advised of the death of her sister, Mrs. Holstock of Welland, after an illness of nine weeks with typhoid fever.

Both were taken to Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford, for interment.

Owing to the poor health of Mrs. Cook,
her little daughter, Anna, has come for
the time being to make her home with
Mrs. Witherspoon.
