Mrs. John H. Winegarden

A lifelong resident of Simcoe and district, Mrs. John H. Winegarden, passed away at her home in Woodhouse Gore on Friday, following a brief illness in her 74th year.

Born in South Dumfries Township, the late Mrs. Winegarden was the former Rose Ada Grigg, a daughter of the late John Grigg and Martha Waunch. She married Mr. Winegarden in Tillsonburg in 1900, her husband passing away in 1934. She was a member of the Salvation Army.

Surviving are two sons, William Oliver of R.R.6, Simcoe, and George A. Winegarden of Ingersoll; three daughters, Mrs. F. Tapp (Irene) of Hamilton, Mrs. William Morris (Pearl) of R.R.1, Simcoe, and Mrs. Jack Clothier (Janet) of Hagersville, and one sister, Mrs. R. Rockwood (May) of Brantford.

The funeral was held on Sunday at two o'clock from the George W. Baldock Funeral Home with Major W. B. Stevens of the Simcoe Salvation Army Corps officiating and interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
