Entered into Rest

On Friday morning at his home in Charlotteville, there passed away another of the aged and highly respected farmers, in the person of John Wight, in his 91st year.

The late Mr. Wight was the last surviving member of a large family, and was born in Blenheim Township, Oxford County, but for the past 40 years had been a resident of Charlotteville.

In 1866 he married Elizabeth Griffin, who died March 23rd, 1918. A family of three sons survive: Arthur of Winnipeg, Hugh of Brantford, and William at home.

In his declining years he had been most devotedly attended by Mrs. William Wight, who has been his constant companion, patiently ministering to his every want.

The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon, the service being conducted by Rev. Mr. Foster, of Simcoe, and interment was made in Oakwood Cemetery.
