The funeral of Emma Gertrude Widner, wife of Edward Talbot Howard of Hearst, Ontario, and daughter of Maria and the late J. Wesley Widner of Simcoe, who died at the Private Patients' Pavilion, Toronto General Hospital, following an operation on 7 May 1920, took place from her mother's residence, 92 Kent Street north, on Monday afternoon at 2.30 to Oakwood Cemetery.

The service was in charge of Rev.
D. A. Moir, and the pall-bearers were all cousins of the deceased.

Besides a sorrowing husband, three daughters are left to mourn the loss of a loving mother. The late Mrs. Howard was 49 years of age on 14 Apr 1920.
