A death notice published in the 6 Feb 1884 British Canadian newspaper.

Walsh -- In Simcoe, on the 1st February, Elsie Fairchild, beloved wife of F. L. Walsh, Esq., Registrar of the County of Norfolk, in her 84th year.

The deceased, who had far out-lived the three score and ten, passed gently away after a few days' illness, from which a fatal termination was not at first expected.

Born in this County, and having lived in it all her days, she was widely known and greatly esteemed; but mos of the friends of her youth and many of those of her middle age had long preceded her to the grave.

A link has been severred in the chain connecting the present to the past, and a blank wich cannot be filled has been made in the hearts and home.

Her life's partner -- who is over ten years older -- mourns a beloved wife with whom he had lived happily for sixty-seven years; children grieve for an affectionate mother; acquaintences will miss a kindly neighbor, and in her death the unfortunate poor have lost a friend.
