A lightly edited partial transcription of the Items of Local Interest column on page 12 of the 
22 May 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Miss Clara Walsh, daughter of the late Aquila Walsh, a one time very prominent citizen of Simcoe, died in Toronto on Saturday last after a lingering illness, aged 67 years.

The body, accompanied by two nephews, Harry Waugh of Toronto and Leigh Waugh of the Bank of Commerce at Grimsby, arrived in Simcoe by the Monday morning G.T.R. express.

Interment was made in the family plot in Oakwood Cemetery, the funeral proceeding directly from the depot.

Rev. A. B. Farney conducted the service. The following gentlemen were the pall-bearers: H. S. Falls, G. A. Curtis, 
F. E. Curtis, W. C. McCall, W. Y. Wallace and Dr. Grasett.
