Estimable Lady Passes Away

Mrs. Wadsworth Died Wednesday of Last Week

There died at her home, 217 Talbot street, on Wednesday of last week, one of Simcoe's oldest and most estimable women in the person of Mrs. James J. Wadsworth, in the 76th year of her age.

Mrs. Wadsworth had been in more or less poor health for the last seven years, having suffered a paralytic stroke, and during the declining years of her life she has been compelled to restrict her activities to a very few social calls among intimate friends.

The deceased lady, who was a daughter of the late Spencer Crary, M.D., of Columbus, Ind., was born in that city in 1839, and was married to the late James J. Wadsworth, M.A., M.B., of Arthur, Canada West, at Brantford.

Her husband predeceased her by almost 10 years, the date of his death being March, 1905.

The late Mrs. Wadsworth was a life-long member of the Anglican church, and previous to her illness was very prominent in the ladies' work of Trinity Church, particularly the work of the Women's Guild.

She will be remembered by all the older members of the congregation, as well as many outside of the church for her devoted Christian influence and example.

The funeral was held from the family residence on Saturday afternoon to the Oakwood cemetery, Rev. A. B. Farney conducting the services.

Dr. L. C. Wadsworth, who has lived with his mother here, is her sole survivor, and has the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
