A lightly edited partial transcription of the Items of Local Interest column on page 12 of the 
8 Jan 1920 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Leigh S. Waddle of the first Aero Squadron, Air Service, U.S. Army, has been spending his Christmas holidays with his parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. William Waddle of Hamilton, formerly of Simcoe.

Mr. Waddle has the distriction of going to France with the first division of the regular army, the first American troops to arrive overseas.
