Simcoe,
Oct. 9--The funeral of the late Mrs. Geo. Vail, who died
in Meaford at the home of her son, Rev. Leslie H. Vail, on
Sunday,
was held yesterday afternoon from the residence of her son,
Thomas E. Vail, Woodhouse.
The bearers were five sons and
one grandson: the two sons above mentioned, William of Stoney Creek,
Cecil of Montreal, and
Amos of Townsend, and Ross Vail, grandson of Dunnville.
The profuse floral tributes
included sprays from the congregation
and boards of managers of the Baptist church, Meaford.
The ceremonies at the house
and grave were conducted by
Rev. H. C. Newcombe, pastor of the Simcoe Baptist church.
