Albert Turvey dies suddenly

The death occurred in Simcoe on Monday at his home, 117 Kent street, of Albert Edward Turvey, one of Simcoe's most respected citizens. 

The deceased, who was in his 73rd year, was born in Charlotteville, the son of Charles Turvey and Eliza Goodson.

In early life he was engaged in farming, coming to Simcoe 27 years ago. 

For a number of years he was employed at the E. S. Edmond's seed store and for the past four years acted as caretaker of the Kinsmen's playground, where he won the hearts of all the children. 

He was a faithful member of St. James United Church and took a great interest in all church affairs.

Besides his widow he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Shearer, Charlotteville, and Mrs. Charles Schilz, Dunkirk, N.Y.; two brothers, Charles of Simcoe and William of Charlotteville, and two sisters Mrs. Etta Stitt of Simcoe, and Mrs. Walter Rawlings [sic] of Walsh.

The funeral will be held from his late residence on Wednesday at 2.30 o'clock with interment in Oakwood cemetery. Rev. G. K. Bradshaw of Niagara Falls, former pastor of St. James United church, Simcoe, will have charge of the service at the home and at the graveside.
