Preparing for Big
Picnic
At a meeting held in the town Hall
last Friday evening to make arrangements for the big picnic to me held in
Lynnwood Park on Thursday afternoon, 28 Aug 1919, the following committees
were appointed:
Chairman -- Geo. Williamson
General Secretary -- Garton Holmes
Sports -- Wyatt Goodlet, Hy. Pursel,
Charles Martin, Norman Werrett
Tables -- H. A. Carter, C. Wark,
T. E. Langford
Prize Committee -- H. R.
Crabb,
G. H. Widner, P. Kendall, L. C. Cratt.
Decorations -- Roy Van
Patter,
Hilton Forsythe, O. Osborne,
A. Sovereen and H. Cable
House Committee -- Geo. Lea,
E. E. Carter, Mrs. Church, Miss Pettit
The above committees has power to
appoint substitutes and add to their number.
It is to be hoped that a band will
be engaged to enliven the proceedings during the afternoon and evening
program.
A meeting of the special committee
re the Business Men's Picnic will be held tomorrow night in the town hall
at 8 o'clock.
