A lightly edited partial transcription of the Port Royal column on page 2 of the 2 Oct 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

W. H. Taylor died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. P. Barrett, Tuesday afternoon, 23 Sep 1919.

He was born in Ireland, near Londonderry, 85 years ago. He came over and settled in Pennsylvania, and for some time engaged in the lumber business.

After a number of years he came to Canada and settled with his family in Collingwood.

The late Mr. Taylor was a Mason and an Oddfellow, and the funeral service was in charge of the Walsingham Masonic Lodge. Interment took place in Port Royal Cemetery. He was a prominent member of the Baptist Church.

Deceased is survived by one daughter and three sons: Mrs. A. P. Barrett; 
Wm. Taylor of Grand View, Manitoba; 
George Taylor of Philadelphia; and 
John Taylor of Minneapolis, Minn.
