Rev. J. W. Stitt Dead

Rev. J. Wesley Stitt, pastor of the South Presbyterian Church, Buffalo, formerly of St. Thomas, and well-known throughout the Province of Ontario, died late Thursday night of Bright's disease.

He was born in Hamilton, and lived in St. Thomas, and was a graduate of the Toronto Normal School.

He is survived in Simcoe by a sister, Mrs. Ira Mabee, a brother and sister, J. McCall Stitt and Mrs. Walter Stitt of Vancouver. His widow was formerly Miss Hewitt of Vittoria.

Three children also survive, one of whom, George, was for some time with Mr. Henry Hoffmann of Simcoe.

Interment took place in Vittoria on Monday.
