Oscar L. Sovereign

The death occurred in the Toronto General Hospital on Monday, 16 Sep 1940 of Oscar L. Sovereign of Huttonville, following a long illness. 

Mr. Sovereign was very well known in this district, being born at Windham Centre, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Sovereign. He lived there until about 1919, when he moved to Mildmay, later to Huttonville.

He married Miss Emma Granger of Waterford, who survives, along with two sons, Arthur and Herbert of Toronto, and two daughters, Misses Edith of Toronto and Laurel at home.

The funeral service was held from his late residence at Huttonville on Wednesday afternoon, at 1.30, thence to Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford, where a short service was  conducted by his nephew, Rev. W. K. Roberts of First Baptist Church, Brantford, followed by interment in the family plot there.
