The Late Mrs. Kellum

KELLUM -- At the old home near Tyrrell, 4 Mar 1906, Margaret Schuyler, beloved wife of George Kellum, aged 89 years 17 days.

Our deceased sister was the daughter of the late Wm. Schuyler of Townsend. She was born near Bloomsburg on 15 Feb 1817, and converted and baptized at an early age.

She was married to George Kellum on 2 Apr 1842 and was the mother of four children, two sons and two daughters, one of whom predeceased her.

Those left to mourn their loss are the husband, Mrs. Eunice Appleford of Tyrrell, Miss Louisa Kellum, an adopted daughter Miss Sarah Ann Tunison who resides at home, and her son, Lebius Kellum.

She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a kind neighbor and an exemplary Christian and consistent member of the Tyrrell Baptist church.

Her last illness was of long duration and of such a nature as to cause her much suffering at times, all of which she bore with patience and resignation.

Her trust in the Saviour was sweet and profound. No words can better express the hope that gave light and radiance to her last days on earth than the text from which her funeral service was preached. -- Den. 33:29.
