The remains of Mrs. Kate Rushton arrived here on the night train Saturday from Cobourg, where she died at the home of her son, John Rushton, and were taken to the home of her nephew, A. P. Barrett, Port Royal, from whence the funeral was held on Sunday.

Interment took place in the Port Royal Cemetery. The service was conducted by the Rev. J. M. Smith of the Baptist Church.
