Death of Mrs. T. L. Brooke

The St. Thomas papers of Monday brought to Simcoe news of the death of Mrs. Flavius L. Brooke, which took place at Lansing, Mich., on Saturday.

The announcement caused extreme regret among our oldest residents, all of whom have fondest recollections of Mrs. Brooke's girlhood days, when as Bridget Reidy, she captured all hearts by her vocal abilities.

She was born in Simcoe, the eldest daughter of the late John Reidy.

Her husband Judge F. L. Brooke, is also a native of Norfolk, having been born in Townsend and received his schooling in Simcoe.

He is a member of the Supreme Court Bench of Michigan, and to him and his two daughters The Reformer extends its warmest sympathy in their hour of grievous lost.
