An old resident of Charlotteville passed away at Escondido, California, on Sunday, January 9th, in the person of John D. Pullen. Deceased was in his 59th year and had gone to California recently. Death was sudden and unexpected.

The remains were brought home and the funeral took place on Monday of this week, from the home of his son, Norman Pullen, Grove Street, Simcoe. to Oakwood Cemetery, and was largely attended by old friends and neighbors. 

The Rev. Wray Davidson officiated and the pallbearers were: C. Baker, J. Dawson, Wm. Baker, J. Patterson, 
J. V. Durham and John Dennis.
