Died at Rockford

Mr. Marshall Porter died at his home at Rockford on Saturday last with heart failure after an illness of only a week.

Mr. Porter was one of the best known farmers of Townsend and his parents were among the pioneer settlers.

A widow, one son Gordon of Stratford, and one daughter, Mrs. Fred Hearn of Townsend, four sisters, Mrs. Lewis Walker of Waterford, 
Mrs. James Dunlop of Boston, Mrs. Jos. McCarter and Mrs. John Kortum of Villa Nova, and three brothers, Nathaniel and John of Simcoe, and Emerson of Chicago, are left to morn their loss.

The funeral was held from his late home on Monday afternoon and was very largely attended. Interment took place in Greenwood cemetery.
