A lightly edited partial transcription of the Items of local interest column on page 12 of the
16 Oct 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Miss Maria Pettit and Mr. Alfred Roberts attended the funeral of a sister, Miss Priscilla Pettit, who died of heart disease.

Her death came very suddenly while she was partaking of her evening meal.

In the morning she had sent word to Miss Pettit to come down and see the Prince, and she was apparently feeling as usual.

That afternoon the telegram came to Miss Pettit stating that her sister had passed away.

This is the second sister to have passed away within the past five months.
