A lightly edited partial transcription of the Port Dover column on page 7 of the 8 Jan 1920 issue
of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

At the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Perkins, a very happy birthday celebration took place on 3 Jan 1920, the occasion being Mr. Perkins' 60th birthday.

Being in remarkable health and unusually active on this particular occasion, he indulged  in clog dancing and one-stepping during the course of the festivities.

The entire family was present:
Mrs. Merritt Walker of Port Dover,
Mrs. George Slocombe of Renton, and
Harvey S. Perkins of Toronto.

Relatives from Galt were also present. An address, accompanied by a handsome purse of money, was presented to Mr. Perkins.
