Introduction | Source Documents | Other Sources | Photocopies | Back

A lightly edited partial transcription of the Walsh column on page 7 of the 6 Oct 1910 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Again death has entered the neighborhood and claimed one of our number in the person of Mr. Philip Parker, who died Friday afternoon.

His illness was of short duration, being pneumonia, and when it became known that Mr. Parker had ceased to live, it was a surprise and regret.

Rev. D. N. Cameron took charge of the funeral service, which was held in the Baptist Church, his text being "Be ye also ready for in such an hour as ye think not, cometh death, God, and separation."

The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in their deep sorrow.
