Fairground

The death occurred here on Saturday morning, March 20, of Mrs. Phillip Park, in her 80th year, after being in poor health for some time.

Mrs. Park's maiden name was Margaret Montgomery, and she was born near Hagersville.

Mrs. Park was a member of the Methodist church here, and always took a deep interest in church work [and] anything that tended to the spiritual welfare of the community.

She is survived by her husband and seven children: John, Ezra, and Mrs. Chas. Lamb of Brantford; Michael and Mrs. Wm. Hall of Toledo, O.; William of Delhi; and Watson of this place.

The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, March 23. The Rev. Mr. Chapman of Walsingham Centre, assisted by Rev. F. M. Sypher of this place, conducted the services in the Methodist church at Cultus. Interment was made in the Cultus cemetery.

The pall-bearers were Messrs. Frank Williams, M. S. Williams, Lafe Finch, Chauncey Finch, Andrew Hazen and John Brown.

Those present from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Park of Simcoe; Mr. and Mrs. John Pinder of Hagersville; Mr. Thos. Montgomery of Toronto; and Mrs. Hynes of Rodney.
