Port
Rowan: Hezekiah Overbaugh, a lifelong resident of this district,
passed away at the home of his son, C. G. Overbaugh of Port Rowan, on
Sunday afternoon in his 67th years. Deceased had been ill for only a
week.
Born in South Walsingham, he
was a son of the late Isaac Overbaugh and Maria Bowers. A carpenter by
trade, he resided in South Walsingham until 30 years ago when he moved
to Port Rowan.
His wife, formerly Ida
Dedrick, predeceased him eight years ago. Besides his son he is
survived by one brother, Fred Overbaugh of Simcoe, and two sisters,
Mrs. Jane Beckerson of Hagersville and Mrs. Marriette Pitman of
Tillsonburg.
The funeral will be held from
the Port Rowan Baptist Church tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock with
Rev. E. C. South officiating. Interment will be in Port Royal
Cemetery.
