Mr. John Northway came prominently into the Toronto papers last week through his election to be one of the three new directors of the Imperial Bank.

Mr. Northway is well known in Simcoe through his association with the H. S. Falls Co.

Last Thursday the Globe had the following to say of him:
"The pioneer manufacturer of women's outer apparel in this country is Mr. John Northway, who twenty years ago originated the business of John Northway & Son, Limited, of which he is president. The company's Toronto factory employs 350 people and controls a retail store on Yonge street.

"Mr. Northway is also president of the Northway Co., which has retail stores at Brantford, Chatham, Ingersoll, Orillia and Tillsonburg. He is a native of Devonshire, and has been in Canada forty-six years."
