Marr-McBride

At 4 o'clock on Wednesday, 21 May 1919, Mr. Alven [sic] Marr was married to Miss Abbie McBride by the Rev. John Hare, at the Presbyterian manse, Jarvis.

The bridesmaid was Mrs. John McCarter, and the best man, Mr. Sid McBride.

The bride was becomingly gowned in a dark blue suit with navy blue hat and veil. The bridesmaid's dress was of grey silk.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the bride's home, Marburg, followed by a wedding luncheon. Numerous presents were received.

After a short honeymoon trip, Mr. and Mrs. Marr will take up their residence in Jarvis.
