A lightly edited partial transcription of the Bloomsburg column on page 2 of the 31 Jul 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Israel Kitchen, who departed this life on Thursday last, at the age of 76 years, was a son of Ziba Kitchen and Susan Pettit. 

He was born and lived all his life a short distance east from here. His wife was Jane Aldridge, who predeceased him some years ago.

His family consisted of two sons, Leslie and Herbert, who reside on the farm.

His is also survived by four sisters,
Mrs. Cowan of Leamington,
Mrs. Silverthorne of Norwich,
Mrs. McKenna of St. Thomas, and 
Miss Nancy Kitchen, also of St. Thomas. These were all attended the funeral on Saturday except Mrs. Cowan.

Pastor Harris of Waterford conducted the service at the house. Interment took place in Greenwood Cemetery.
