Items of Local Interest

On Tuesday, 9 Jun 1920, after a long and painful illness, Mrs. Allan Stanton passed away at the home of her brother, F. H. Kent, Lynn Valley.

Mrs. Stanton, as Miss Ella Kent, was well known in Simcoe. She was a daughter of
the late George Kent, and niece of the late
Dr. Stanton.

About 30 years ago she married her cousin and had lived in Chicago nearly ever since, until about a year ago, when in failing health she returned to her brother's home.

On Friday, 11 Jun 1920, the remains were interred in the family plot at St. John's, Woodhouse.
